A fixed price, before you run
A video's price follows from the resolution and length you choose, so the app shows you the exact number before it starts. It does not change while it runs.

The first 5 reference images on a video are free; each one after that adds 16 credits. A character travels as its own set of references and uses all 9 the model accepts, so attaching one adds 64 credits.

A still is priced by how long the generation runs, so a bigger canvas or more steps costs more. These are what recent generations actually came to.

What is a credit worth?
One cent. 100 credits is a dollar, every price in the app is shown in credits, and your balance is the same unit.
What happens if a generation fails?
Nothing is charged. Credits are held while it runs and released if it ends without producing anything, so a failure costs you the wait and nothing else.
Do credits expire?
No. Credits stay on your account until you spend them, and there is no subscription or monthly minimum.
Why does a video have an exact price when an image has a range?
A video is priced by resolution and length, both of which you fix before it starts. A still is billed for the time it runs, which moves with the canvas size and the number of steps.
Does attaching a character cost extra?
On video, yes. A character travels as its own set of reference images and uses all 9 the model accepts; with the first 5 free, that adds 64 credits. On images it costs nothing extra.
